The NSW Street Rod Committee Inc. (NSW SRC) has been in continuous operation since 1972.

The NSW SRC is constituted and recognised by the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW (RTA) to represents all owners of pre ‘1949 Street Rod vehicles in NSW, on all matters related to registration, regardless of affiliation with any association. The NSW SRC provides a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) service for NSW members of the Australian Street Rod Federation (ASRF) on matters relating to Street Rods. The SRC is recognised by the RTA to administer a ‘Conditional Registration System’ for Street Rod vehicles.

Members of the NSW SRC are elected from nominees from their associations, and work in a voluntary capacity.
